WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
JOB TITLE: Warehouse Associate

SUMMARY: The Warehouse Associate serves as the operational backbone of the Kegel LLC warehouse. This role is primarily responsible for picking, packing, and preparing customer and in-house work orders for shipment, while also serving as a trained backup to the Receiver. When needed, the Warehouse Associate supports inbound receiving operations — including verifying shipments, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with purchasing staff —ensuring uninterrupted warehouse flow.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary — Picking, Packing & Shipping Prep
Pick and pack customer orders and in-house work orders following established SOPs
Build and wrap pallets; position to loading docks for outbound shipment
Load and unload trucks
Review packing lists for accuracy, maintaining a minimum 99.8% error-free picking standard
Clean and crate machines being shipped
Pull machine and stocking work orders for Manufacturing by the required date
Re-stock inventory manually or with warehouse equipment
Prepare goods for shipment along with preparing machines for shipments following established SOPs
Perform cycle counts as assigned
Secondary — Receiving (Backup Role)
Receive inbound shipments; sign paperwork upon receipt — all receiving completed same day or by noon the following business day
Receive and check incoming work orders from Production and the Machine Shop
Inspect incoming packages to ensure contents are undamaged and verify against purchase orders (quantity, quality, etc.)
Contact Purchasing when discrepancies or mistakes are identified
Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or coordinating replacements
Label deliveries and allocate them to designated warehouse locations
Collaborate with Purchasing staff to track and list expected deliveries
Maintain accurate receiving records and assist in inventory control
Download daily photos from camera to Vault
General
Maintain a valid Forklift License once obtained
Adhere to all health & safety policies and use proper safety equipment at all times
Help keep the warehouse clean and organized
Perform all work within Kegel's Quality Policy
Perform other related duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED; or a minimum of 2 years of related warehouse experience
and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Forklift License preferred, or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire
Experienced operating pallet jacks and other standard warehouse equipment
Great attention to detail with a minimum 99.8% order accuracy standard
Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
Good physical strength and stamina
Ability to read and write English
Basic math and recording abilities; ability to read a scale
Diligent, punctual, and self-motivated
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual will be trained on site using employer’s
software for clocking in and out of work orders.
