Don Agent - International Sales and Technicial Support

Don has worked with Kegel since 1996 in a variety of ways and places. His experience included quality control of lane machines, technical support, and co-founder of the Kegel Mobile Support Vehicle. Before coming to Kegel Don worked as a freelance troubleshooter/installer specializing in custom pinsetter refurbishment of Brunswick machines since the early 80's. Recently Don took on the role of giving seminars and workshops throughout Asia and Europe teaching Kegel's Philosophies and Practices.





Steve Calhoun - Technical Support Specialist

Starting in Oklahoma, Steve has been in the bowling industry for over 26 years. Before coming to Kegel he worked as a pin chaser, laneman, sales distributor, and more. For 9 years he worked as a bowling center technician on AMF equipment, and then 5 years as an owner/operator of a pro shop. In 1993 Steve began installing lane machines for a Texas distributor where he worked of 5 years before joining Kegel. Since then Mr. Calhoun has worked at Kegel creating and quality testing many of Kegel's most popular lane machines from. If your machine was built within the last decade it's a sure bet Steve ensured your lane machine would work perfectly out of the box.



Steve Cross - Pattern Specialist and Technical Support

Steve has worked in the bowling industry for over 36 years. Before coming to Kegel 23 of those years where invested in customer service, pro shop operations, private instruction and support of AMF machines. For 10 years he was the PBA's lane maintenance director. In 1997 Steve started here at Kegel where he has directed lane maintenance for tournaments around the world and co-founded the Kegel Mobile Support Vehicle. Steve's vast experience with lane machine research & development, technical support, and pattern theory/development makes Steve an icon among laneman. He even has his own T-Shirt!




Mike Purdy - Southeast USA Regional Sales and Technical Support

Coming from the west coast, Mike made the leap to Kegel in 1998 from San Diego, California. He has been in the bowling industry since 1981 with experience as a mechanic/head mechanic from 1982 - 1993. In the mid 90's he went to work for Century in Colorado as a technician where he worked on all types of AMF equipment. Here at Kegel Mike is busy traveling the southeast USA and South America lending full support to our customers, hosting training workshops, and rebuilding lane machines. If you have a mechanical problem that needs fixed, Mike's our best.




John Janawicz - Pattern Specialist and Technical Support

John (JJ) is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in Business Administration and has worked with Kegel since 1998. During his tenure JJ has traveled extensively managing lane maintenance for the PBA Tour as well as the European Bowling Tour and many worldwide Federation Championships Kegel is involved with. He has been in the bowling industry since 1989 and brings the competitive side of bowling to the table having won the Bowlers Journal Tournament in 1991. His involvement in pattern theory development here at Kegel makes him a well rounded technician and master pattern theorist. If that's not enough, JJ made history in 2004 when he shot an 858, the highest singles score ever shot in the USBC Open Championships history. JJ's goal is to create and uphold a fair playing field for the sport of bowling around the world.

Bud Dacheux - Southwest/Pacific USA Regional Sales and Technical Support

Bud brings over 16 years of experience working on lane machines from Bowler's Supply Company of York PA, where he specialized in Kegel products. Based in Las Vegas, Dacheux visits and assists bowling centers across the west coast. He has performed many upgrades from tune up's to full machine rebuilds, holds training sessions, gives lane pattern assistance and improves your bowling center's overall lane maintenance program. Bud has the eye and experience to take your equipment to the next level.





Terry Owens - Supervisor of Technical Support

Starting with Kegel in 2001, Terry started building lane machines in our core manufacturing division. He quickly learned all lane machine systems and advanced to Quality Control Manager where he served as the final say for all completed lane machines. Terry provides a level of understanding and depth far beyond his years. He keeps a cool head and steady hand in times of trouble and now supervises Kegel's Award Winning Tech Support department. Like his colleague Steve Cross says, "He's here to help!"





Gus Falgien - Sales and Technical Support Manager

Gus has been helping bowling centers with patterns for over 15 years. His experience as a head mechanic, sales technician for a west coast distributor, and lane man for both the PBA and PWBA tours from 2000 - 2003 has made him one of the most respected lane maintenance technicians in the industry. Currently Gus continnues to perform lane maintenance at international tournaments and training seminars worldwide traveling to countries throughout Europe and East Aisa. For the forth year in a row Gus will have flown over 100,000 miles!




Sven Scheepers - European Technical Support

Sven Scheepers joined Kegel in April 2007 as our European Technician. Sven has been in the bowling business since 1995 where he was a mechanic in a 16 lane bowling center in his home town of Herleen in the Netherlands. After a few years he started to work for Kegel distributor Bowltech Germany, where his main task was servicing and installing Kegel lane machines. He also was installing pinsetters and computer scoring so from there it was an easy step to support Kegel distributors and their customers within Europe. Sven is also one of Kegel’s Lane Maintenance technicians for the European Bowling Tour and European Tenpin Bowling Federation Championship events.



John Thrift - Quality Assurance Manager and Technical Support

Starting with Kegel in 1999, John started building lane machines in our manufacturing division and quickly learned all lane machines. Soon after John started organizing and helping in all areas of manufacturing which lead him into the role of Lane Machine Production Supervisor for 3 years. From there he advanced to Quality Control Manager where he served as the final say for all completed lane machines and to this day he manages the Quality Assurance of all Kegel lane machines. John, much like his colleague Terry Owens, provides a level of understanding and depth far beyond his years.
