Film in the body of the pattern will contribute to excessive carrydown.

Regards,

John

have a phoenix-s machine and need to cut back from oiling 42 feet round 38 or so. using prodigy lane oil and having tons of carry down causing me tons of out of ranges. need an explanition on how to cut the distance down. thank you

Abstract:
Hello James,

Sorry about the late response, we had problems with our server that we were just made aware of the other day.

You just need to go to the oil pattern and bring the oil pattern distance down on the keypad and also check to make sure that you have at least 5 feet of buff forward and reverse.

If you are getting that much carrydown, I think you also need to make sure that you are getting the whole lane clean, not just the backends. If you are leaving any film from the arrows to the end of the pattern after a full strip, that will magnify the carrydown as well.

Regards,

John

I need some help programming my Phoenix pad machine. My question is, what is the best way to control the amount of oil the machine can put out. For example, if our house shot lays out an average of 3.0 units of oil across the lane, how can we increase it to lets say 6.0 units on a given area? Is that in our speed control in ips? or is it changed in the change program options? As we have it now, all we are doing is adjusting the FWD and REV oil to try and accomodate. Our machine is a Sanction Elite. Question 1. When oiling we have been forced to run lanes 1+2 twice to ensure the same condition on the pair, the buffer brush doesnt get enough conditioner on it at the start to get any forward oil at the heads which in turn leads to drastic differences in lane condition. Is there a reason for this that we are overlooking or should this not be happening and should we consult our supplier?Question 2. It's good to run the pair twice to keep the pair even. Does this machine have the transfer brush upgrade? If it has the transfer brush upgrade, the first lane or two will definitely hook more until the brush gets to a constant.

Regards,

John

Is there an upgrade to have more pattern programs other then 4.
